Note: Please make a backup of your configuration.php file PRIOR to making these changes, just in case.
- Using your favorite file editor (such as thecPanel File Manager), edit the configuration.php file in your Joomla root folder and make the following changes:
change...public $live_site = 'http://redwood.greenhostit.com/~yourusername/joomla';to...public $live_site = ''; - In our example, after making the above change, you can then would begin to access your website using http://yourdomain.com/joomla rather than http://redwood.greenhostit.com/~yourusername/joomla
